Monogram Everything! Leather Letters

Monogram lovers, perk up!

Now you don't have to custom order a painted monogram on your next bag - you can mix and match leather letters on any bag you like with out doing any permanent damage!

Check out these amazing leather letters by Anya Hindmarch on my bestie Tina Craig's (aka. Bag Snob) handbag - amazing!
Another shot of Tina with her Bag Snob bag.
And here are the TC stickers on a purple bag too!

It is a great way to personalize anything or a great gift for a friend who has everything!

Friday Favorites

Looking back at one of my favorite tablescapes from my first Southern Living story a few years back!

Oh my good gracious - Mermaid Lovers click here!

I love a summer bun and these are the only bobby pins I trust.

I just got this new powder a few days ago and I'm obsessed.  I have such oily skin and it makes my hours old makeup look totally fresh.  Don't leave home with out it!

I'm done with disposable swim diapers - only these reusable cuties from Honest from now on.

I've worn these wedges almost every day for the last few weeks and they are so comfy.  You need some!

Don't forget that it is time to order your Father's Day gifts!  I'm getting my dad this and this.

Friday Favorites - The book is off to the printer!

BUSY!  The only word I can think of to describe this time of year.  I almost think March and April have become more hectic than November and December!  What is happening?

But guess what - my next book, Monograms for the Home, just went to the printer yesterday!  What a load off my shoulders!  I'm so excited about it and can't wait to share it with you in September!  Above is a little sneak peek of some wonderful gift tags designed by the amazing Emily McCarthy that are featured in the book.

Here are a few quick things to check out in the few moments that you do have free this weekend:

Love this article on Netiquette that Howard Slatkin posted on his visual feast of an instagram feed!

Loving my new iPhone case/wallet - monogrammed of course!

A must have accessory for summer.  Love this tassel!

Ordering a new one of these for my summer travel.

Molly Sims and I both use this every day before we shower.  That is probably the only similarity!

And don't forget to check in on Wednesday for my One Room Challenge reveal!

Monogram Mania with Mary!

What a fun weekend! I had a blast and feel so super motivated after attending a blogger's conference that gave me tons and tons of tips on great ways to bring you content that I hope you will really enjoy. One of the best parts of the weekend was celebrating Mary Katrantzou's A to Z collection of tote bags exclusive to Matches Fashion.

You know I love a monogram so this collection really got me excited! I hope you like it too!

Friday Favorites

What a week!  Has your spring gotten off to the crazy start that mine has?

I'm in the thick of the final layout approvals for my next book: Monograms for the Home!  Can't wait to share it with you!  In the meantime, here is a little sneak peek:

Monogram Mania is going on over at my favorite shopping site Moda Operandi!

Did you know that the Red Cross has a great app to keep you safe during this crazy weather season?

Obsessed with the great neutrals in this make-up palette.

This lipstick is perfect!

My toddler daughter has been living in these moccasins.  So sweet on her fat little feet!

And Tory Burch does it again!  I ordered these shoes to pair with my pin stripe dresses or jeans this spring.

Update on my One Room Challenge!  The Gray Malin piece, Two Cowboys, that was my inspiration is now available on One Kings Lane!

Masters of the Monogram

You already know how much I love monograms but have I ever told you how much I love The Printery?  It is one of my favorite stationery houses on the planet.  I had the pleasure of visiting their charming Oyster Bay Press a few years ago and there is just nothing like their wavy and warped old floors to help you appreciate the old presses and printers.  They are featured in my book about monograms that comes out this Fall (can't wait!!!).

They are masters with a monogram and now is the time to order some papers of your own.  Let them help you create something special. Now is the time because their annual half price sale on new and engraved dies and plates is on until the end of March!  You can save 50% on new monogram or name dies, return addresses and even on hand cut plates for invitations.

You don't have to make your way to Oyster Bay to order though.  Give them a call at (516) 922-3250 and let them guide you through the process.  In addition to their beautiful dies, the can help you create a stunning stationery suite in unique color combinations that will make your notes stand out!

Monogram Monday: Flocked in Florals

While searching for the perfect new monogram and stationery for my precious little girl, I found this great blog full of wonderful types.   Among my favorites is Brushwood by Ricardo Sabatini:

What do you think?  Is it right for baby girl's stationery?

Pink Monograms

I'm in such a pink mood lately with the baby girl in the house!  Now that we have a name for her, I have been ordering everything I can think of for her with a personalized touch, including this precious dress from Ragsland.

How pretty is this JuliaB. "P" monogram.  She has the most beautiful things!

I have the hardest time selecting monogram styles.  I like them all!  These are from Leontine
I found this pretty M on etsy.com

I love this scallop edge monogrammed shower curtain from The Pink Monogram.  There are so many colors available!

Of course, I gave my baby girl a name with the same initials that I have.  I hope she will appreciate and use my napkins when she grows up.

Monogram Monday: Hardware

So, if you have been reading this blog for any length of time, you know that I love to monogram anything and everything.  As a matter of fact, I am having a little battle with my husband over what we should name our baby because I would like for her to have the same initials that I have.  Is that vain or practical?  I'm not sure....

Anyway, when I recently had to pick out new hardware for our kitchen renovation, (photos coming soon!  We are soooo close to being finished!) I came across this monogrammed hardware collection by Nanz.  Isn't it incredible?  I had to hold back the urge to add personalized knobs to every cabinet in my kitchen but maybe you want to? I think they are amazing and apparently date back to the era of the French Kings.

What do you think?

Monogram Monday: HSH Princess Ira von Furstenberg

During a fun lunch in LA with my Mother-in-Law and our friend Princess Ira von Furstenberg, I noticed her custom monogram on her amazing Hermes Kelly Bag.  I had to snap a pic and share it on this very Royal and elegant Monogram Monday!

Monogram Monday - Sandcastles

We left our beach holiday yesterday and, although it feels so good to be home, I will miss our daily beach walks.  On one of them, my sister and I came across this fantastic monogrammed sandcastle!  I knew it would be perfect for our monogram monday post so I ran back and grabbed my camera to snap these photos.

Isn't that precious!
Here is a detail of the monogram made from marbles:

And, just for fun, here are two little shots from inside the cottage.  We made a little collage near the entrance of photos from previous summers.  The sunsets are incredible and we take a photo of it almost every night!

On the mantle, a small collection of nautical antiques are displayed.

The rest of the house is filled with piles of books and games and big messes of toys so I can only share two photos!

Photos taken on Instagram!
