Tablescape Tuesday: Easter Egg Cup Place Cards

Easter is my favorite time of year!  I love the deeper meaning behind the season but I also love the bright and cheerful way we celebrate this time that reminds us of our greatest blessings.

Here is a detail from our the Easter Egg Cup Place Cards I created using Lemons to add a bright and cheerful touch to our table.  I simply pulled bright Meyer Lemons and made a small slice in them to hold the cards.

Here are a few links so that you can shop the look:

Blue and White Platter - Similar
Blue and White Egg Cups - I love these!  - On my wish list!
White Egg Cups - Similar but these are on sale!
Green Glass Plates - similar.  I snatched mine at an Estate Sale but these are pretty too!
Yellow Napkins - I had mine monogrammed by Halo Studio.

Tablescape Tuesday - Double Dose

This weeks Tablescape Tuesday Post brings a double dose of delicious!
Both of these jaw-dropping and inspiring tables came from my Instagram feed but I wanted to make sure they got to your eyes so I just had to share them here!

This Malachite stunner comes from a Delfina Delattrez dinner.   I don't know how they did the floors but I'll try to find out and fill you in.  My friend Lauren Santo Domingo attended and said that artichokes and sea urchins were served for dinner!

And speaking of the LSD, below is a table that she posted from the ModaGems dinner hosted by Moda Operandi.  I love the easy white cloth and the natural blooms finished off with taper candles. The menu cards add the perfect touch of color to the place setting.  Gorgeous!

Tablescape Tuesday: Jennifer Meyer for Ylang 23

I just can't tell you how honored I was to be asked to "art direct" a table for forty at the Joule Hotel in Dallas for Jennifer Meyer.  Jennifer was in town for her trunk show at Ylang 23 and owners Joanne and Charles Teichman wanted to host a dinner for her.  It certainly was a special night and I was thrilled to play a part.

I worked with floral designer Darrell Ward who did a spectacular job bringing my vision to life.  I hope you like it!

If you love Jen's jewelry as much as the 40 of us at the dinner do, I hope you will like the selection below:

Tablescape Tuesday: Southern Living Alfresco Entertaining

We hosted friends for dinner last night and the weather was so pretty.  I wish that I had made plans to eat outside!  It reminded me of the table I set for Southern Living a few issues back.
I hope you enjoy it:

Tablescape Tuesday :: Lobster Cocktail Napkins and Bath Towels by Caspari

 Does it get any more summery than these festive lobster napkins and bath towels? We don't think so! Which is why we are stocking up on them for Summer BBQ's, beach dinners, and everything else in between.

Tablescape Tuesday :: Lyford Napkins

With summer on the near horizon, I'm daydreaming about hosting a dinner party by the beach. I found these lyford napkins recently and think they would make the perfect addition to my summer tabletop. What do you think? Don't they just scream summer?!

Mother's Day Tablescape :: Get the Look

Tory Burch never disappoints with her tablescapes. Over the weekend, I stumbled upon her Mother's Day table setting and it was the perfect inspiration I needed for my tablescape.

Here's how to get the look:

Tablescape Tuesday :: Alberto Pinto

We are always looking for tablescapes inspiration. Whether it's in the pages of a design book, or at a friend's luncheon, there are so many places to find inspiration. Recently, I've been drawn to the late Alberto Pinto's tablescape work. From his great use of bold color schemes, to his incredibly beautiful china, it's no surprise his Table Setting book is one of the best out there.

 You can re-create this stunning (and quirky) tablescapes with your very own 'Champignon' set

If you're like us and can't get enough, you must check out AD's slideshow of some of Pinto's best interior design work. Pure elegance!

Tablescape Tuesday

When I saw this tablescape in the latest issue of Southern Living, I immediately fell in love with the table fabric and monogrammed napkins. Anyone else?! I especially love the satin ribbons tied around the napkins - this is such a simple way to freshen up your tablescape!

Tablescape Tuesday: Wish-List

Inspired by jewel tones, here are a few things on our "tablescape wish-list" this Tuesday morning.

{1. Dinner Plate 2. Glasses 3. Place Cards 4. Napkin Rings 5. Print Coasters }

I've always loved traditional Tobacco Leaf China by Mottahedah.  In fact, it was on my wedding registry seven years ago and featured in my book, Tablescapes: Setting the Table with Style.

Above are a few other picks that could put a more modern spin on this traditional dinner pattern.

Tablescape Tuesday: Setting The Table At Home

This tablescape inspired by fall hues -- orange place cards, golden accents, silver flatware, and a harvest floral centerpiece -- is the perfect setting to entertain guests in style.

P.S- The table was set for a photoshoot featured in a magazine out in November. Stay tuned! :)

Gold leaves by William Yoeward placed around the table created subtle sophistication.

Place cards by Laurie Harper added a personal touch.

The seasonal floral arrangement by Branching Out evoked the warmth of the season.
