I'm Back!

Hi y'all!  Sorry that I have been MIA but I had a baby girl a few weeks ago and I've been a little distracted.

Anyway, I'm going to use the few stolen quiet moments that I have to try to get back on track with the blog!

In honor of my precious little bundle, I thought we could think pink today:

Tablescape Tuesday: Mario Buatta

I'm a big fan of designer Mario Buatta.  I love that his designs are so colorful and so full of pattern.  His tablescapes and dining rooms are no different! Enjoy!

This table was featured in Architectural Digest and they said the murals made you feel like you were dining al fresco all year long.

At Home With Kim - The Guest Bedroom

I thought it might be fun to share a little bit of my home with you here on the blog! We had friends from France staying with us recently so the guest bedroom seems like an appropriate start!

I wanted a pink bedroom in my bachelorette pad so Jan Showers recommended this gorgeous pale coral/soft blush palate for me. Isn't it delicious? I loved it so much that, after I got married, I "transplanted" the room to our new home but made it the guest bedroom as my husband wasn't anxious to have a pink bedroom. He should have been though! The color is so flattering!

Tablescape Tuesday: The Party Planner at IBB Designs

One of my favorite perks of being an Author is the wonderful people I get to meet at my book signings and celebrations.  The talented Shay Geyer of IBB Designs hosted a lovely pink party for me to celebrate The Party Planner.  She is a doll and dove in to the party planning process with gusto and great style.  She even painted the wall in the luncheon room of her design studio pink just for me!

The flowers were in mirrored containers and the combination of soft pink hydrangea, bold and bright roses and fresh and cheery tulips was modern and sweet at the same time.  The favor bags added a further pop of color on the tables and no one could wait to dig in to them!

Our host, Shay Geyer, and Good Morning Texas Host, Amy Vanderoef.

Red velvet cakes by RUSH Patisserie were the icing on the cake!  Deeeeeeelish!

Tablescape Tuesday: Pretty in Pink

I adore this spectacular table set by Todd Events and coordinated by Mary Wright-Shah for eighty people at a rehearsal dinner.  Isn't it to die for?
It was certainly a night to remember in a spectacular spring setting.
