Ice Cream Sundae Centerpieces

I promised some details on our Sundae Centerpieces so here you go...
I had a blast putting these together and I hope you will try it too!

Here is what you need:
Pink Carnations (standard size)
Red Miniature Carnations (for the cherry on top!)

Soak your Oasis floral foam in water for a little while and place it in the top of the sundae glass.
The spheres I had fit perfectly into the top of the glass but you can always cut yours down a bit if you need to.

Cut the stems of the pink carnations down to about three inches and start placing them in a tight arrangement, filling up the oasis.  Start at the top center and keep working your way around always turning the glass to make sure you are making an even dome.

Once it is filled in, add your cherry on top buy cutting your miniature red carnation so that it has about a four inch stem and stick it in at an angle.

I also made some sundae centerpieces with larger sundae glasses and minty green hydrangea by simply placing one hydrangea on the top of each glass and adding the miniature red carnation.

I hope you like our sweet centerpiece idea!  I'd love hear about your ideas for entertaining too!
