Lobster for lunch is a summer favorite of mine. Who doesn't like to indulge in an afternoon seafood feast?

At our lake house, I like to cover the picnic table with a crisp white linen from Porthault. Large white-and-pine chairs are brought from inside to make sure people have plenty of comfortable space to maneuver when dining on these delicacies.

Red beaded place mats from Amen Wardy in Aspen were placed on top of the linen, and large leaf-shaped plates and bowls made the settings. Coral-handled flatware, also from Amen Wardy, framed the place mats and settings. White linen napkins embroidered with a large lobster were folded and placed to the right of each place setting.

However, when it comes to lobster, a napkin is often not enough. Lobster bibs were placed in each glass and guests were instructed to tie them on even before the food was brought out.

Lastly, we placed a red fishing net runner down the center of the table and decorated it with silver lobsters and crabs. It was the ideal setting for a delicious lunch, and one that we look forward to every summer!
Great tablescape! So perfect for summer!
