Tablescape Tuesday

When I saw this tablescape in the latest issue of Southern Living, I immediately fell in love with the table fabric and monogrammed napkins. Anyone else?! I especially love the satin ribbons tied around the napkins - this is such a simple way to freshen up your tablescape! 

Spring Cleaning

One thing we love about Spring is the chance to "indulge" in a little something we like to call, Spring Cleaning. That's right, with May just around the corner, it's seriously time to clean out those closets, drawers, and corners of your house filled with things you just don't need or use. Of course, this is much easier said than done, because let's face it, throwing things out can be a daunting task.

Just when I thought I couldn't be more excited for Baz Lurhmann's Great Gatsby, I saw these images of Carey Mulligan (who plays the coveted role of Daisy) in Vogue. Don't they just capture the glamour and excess that makes the Great Gatsby so great?

Kitchen Renovation Stress - Will you help me decide?

So, I'm trying really hard to be ahead of everyone working on my kitchen renovation so that when they ask me a design question, I already have the answer! Even though there was a major set-back today, I am trying to keep my kitchen drama in perspective here. I wanted to cry, BUT the truth is, I am very lucky to be getting a new kitchen! 

Will you help me get a head start on yet another one of the decisions I need to make? I need to pick a vent/hood for above my range. The range is brushed stainless and cabinets are probably going to be a warm white color. Check out my options below:

MOST WANTED :: Birch Trays from Serena and Lily

You may have noticed these in last week's Friday Favorites round-up, but we just can't seem to get enough of these Birch Trays from Serena and Lily. You can get them in two different patterns - in shades of navy, poppy, saffron, and ultramarine. I'll by using mine with these to serve cocktails and hors d'oevres throughout the spring and summer!

Pack a Picnic with Kate Spade

Despite the recent Spring showers we've been having in Dallas, I'm itching to plan a weekend picnic! And Kate Spade's champagne box, wine tote, and picnic basket will make it that much easier to have the perfect picnic.

In our opinion, one of the best parts about Spring's arrival is getting to dine outside. So when I came across these Bright Shapes Melamine plates at West Elm, I was instantly inspired to use them for a Spring picnic or party. 

MOST WANTED :: Biscuit Home

We were recently introduced to Houston-based boutique Biscuit Home, and ever since, we have been obsessed. Their online site is a dream-come-true for anyone looking for fabulous home goods, affordable bedding, or the perfect gift. While perusing the site over the weekend (you must check it out!), I came across these tray's that I had to share with you all. The lilac tray was quickly added to my shopping cart, but I'm thinking I may need to purchase a few more trays as gifts. What do you think? Which is your favorite?
